The purpose of the implementation of Susenas is to obtain an overview of the development of indicators that can be used for the evaluation of development and welfare of the people at the national, provincial, and district / city levels.

The output produced by Susenas is in the form of People's Welfare Statistics, Expenditures for Indonesian Population Consumption, Expenditures for Calorie and Protein Consumption of Indonesian Population per Province, Expenditure for Consumption of Indonesian Population per Province, and Executive Summary of Expenditure and Consumption of Indonesian Population.
