Abstract

Bali's total economy in the second quarter of 2019 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) was recorded at Rp. 62.31 trillion and based on constant prices (ADHK) recorded at Rp. 40.28 trillion.


Bali's economy in the first semester of 2019 recorded a growth of 5.80 percent or slowed when compared to the same period the previous year which recorded growth of 5.82 percent. In terms of business, the highest growth was achieved by Category G (Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair) of 9.48 percent. Meanwhile, when viewed from the side of the main supporting expenditure of economic growth in the first semester of 2019 namely the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) which recorded growth of 19.64 percent.


On a q-to-q basis or compared to the previous quarter, Bali's economy in the second quarter of 2019 recorded a growth of 3.04 percent. In terms of business, the highest growth was achieved by Category O (Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security) of 7.99 percent. Meanwhile in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was recorded in Government Consumption Expenditures (PK-P) with a growth of 24.02 percent.


Bali's economic structure in terms of business sectors in the second quarter of 2019 was still dominated by Category I (Provision of Accommodation and Food and Beverage) with a contribution recorded at 22.92 percent. While the largest contribution in quarter II-2019 in terms of expenditure component was recorded in the Export Component (50.66 percent) followed by Household Consumption Expenditures (47.60 percent). Meanwhile, the contribution of the Import Component as a reducing component was recorded at 40.75 percent.
