Bali Province Export and Import Development in February 2020

EXPORT

During February 2020, the value of exports of goods from Bali Province abroad was recorded at US $ 50,764,165, 8.95 percent higher compared to exports in January 2020 (m-t-m) which amounted to US $ 46,595,578. On a year-to-year basis (compared to February 2019), Bali's exports in February 2020 also rose as high as 4.37 percent. But cumulatively (January-February 2020) Bali's exports were recorded down by -1.35 percent compared to January-February 2019.

In terms of commodities, exports of various basic metal products (HS 83) and exports of patchwork products (dominant HS 63 in the form of surgical masks) recorded the highest increase to hundreds of percent.

IMPORT

The value of imported Balinese goods from abroad in February 2020 was recorded at US $ 11,886,232 down as deep as -48.65 percent compared to January 2020 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US $ 23,147,657. On a year-on-year basis, Bali's imports in February 2020 also fell by as much as -26.17 percent compared to February 2019 (y-o-y).

Imports from China (m-t-m) recorded the deepest decline, which was as deep as -87.69 percent, which was mainly caused by the decline in imports of machinery and electrical equipment (HS 85).
