Abstract

In June 2020 Singaraja City recorded inflation as high as 0.32 percent with the Consumer Price Index (base year 2018 = 100) of 104.94. The current year inflation rate for June 2020 is as high as 1.26 percent. Meanwhile, the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2020 against June 2019 or YoY) was recorded as high as 2.41 percent.


Six expenditure groups recorded inflation, namely group IV (equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance) as high as 0.93 percent; group XI (personal care and other services) as high as 0.72 percent; group I (food, drink, and tobacco) as high as 0.49 percent; group III (housing, water, electricity and household fuel) as high as 0.24 percent; group V (health) as high as 0.03 percent; and group II (clothing and footwear) as high as 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, one expenditure group recorded deflation (m to m), namely group IX (education) as deep as -0.07 percent. Four other expenditure groups recorded no change in index or stagnant, namely group VI (transportation); group VII (information, communication and financial services); group VIII (recreation, sports, and culture) and group X (food and beverage / restaurant supply).


Commodities recorded contributing to or contributing to inflation in June 2020 include, broiler chicken meat, pork, tuna and ambu fish, canang sari, and multiroof / metal tile.


From 90 CPI cities, 76 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Kendari (Southeast Sulawesi) as high as 1.33 percent while the lowest inflation was recorded in Makassar (South Sulawesi) as high as 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the deepest deflation was recorded in Ternate (North Maluku) as deep as -0.34 percent while the shallow deflation was recorded in Padangsidimpuan (North Sumatra) as deep as -0.02 percent. If ranked from the highest inflation, then Singaraja ranks 31st out of 76 cities experiencing inflation.
