Export
In August 2021, the export value of Bali Province goods to foreign countries was recorded to increase by 25.38 percent (mtm), from US$ 31,395,387 in July 2021 to US$ 39,364,228 in August 2021. When compared to August 2020 (yoy), Bali's export value in August 2021 was also recorded to increase by 17.59 percent.
Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali in August 2021, the value of exports to Taiwan recorded the highest increase month to month up to 253.21 percent. This increase was mainly due to increased exports of fish, crustacean and mollusc products (HS 03).
The cumulative export value in the January-August 2021 period was recorded at US$ 315,140,428, up 7.38 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
Import
In line with Bali's exports, the import performance of Bali Province in August 2021 also showed an increase. The import value of Bali Province goods from abroad in August 2021 was recorded at US$ 2,000,786, up 12.92 percent compared to July 2021 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US$ 1,771,836. On a year on year basis, the import value of Bali Province in August 2021 was recorded to have decreased by 43.33 percent.
Of the top 5 import origin countries in August 2021, the value of imports from the United States recorded an increase of up to thousands of percent month to month, which was mainly due to the increase in imports of machinery and mechanical equipment and parts thereof (HS 84).
Cumulatively, the import value in the January-August 2021 period was recorded at US$ 25,625,953, down 62.05 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
