Abstract

Bali's total economy in the third quarter of 2021 as measured by GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) at current prices (ADHB) was recorded at Rp 54.19 trillion. Or if measured on the basis of constant prices (ADHK) in 2010, Bali's GRDP was recorded at Rp 35.34 trillion.

With this amount, Bali's economy in the third quarter of 2021 recorded a contraction of 4.08 percent compared to the results of the second quarter of 2021 (q-to-q). From the production side, the deepest contraction was recorded in the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security Business Fields, which was minus 17.02 percent. On the expenditure side, the deepest contraction was recorded in the Import of Goods and Services Component, which was minus 21.18 percent.

Meanwhile, when compared to the same period the previous year (y-on-y), Bali's economy in the third quarter of 2021 recorded a contraction of 2.91 percent. In terms of production, the deepest contraction was recorded in the Transportation and Warehousing Business Field, which was minus 16.03 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, the deepest contraction was recorded in the Import of Goods and Services Component, which was minus 52.02 percent.

If the accumulated growth in the first quarter of 2021 to the third quarter of 2021 is accumulated, then the Balinese economy recorded negative growth or contracted by 3.43 percent (c-to-c).

The economic structure of Bali in terms of production, in the third quarter of 2021 was still dominated by Category I (Provision of Accommodation and Food and Drink) which recorded a contribution of 16.13 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the largest contribution was recorded in the Household Consumption Component, which was 55.42 percent.
