Abstract

The number of labor force in February 2022 was recorded at 2.68 million people, an increase of 116.41 thousand people compared to February 2021. In the same period, LFPR also increased by 3.43 percentage points to 77.14% in February 2022.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2022 was 4.84%, down 0.58 percentage points compared to February 2021. However, the TPT was still quite high when compared to the Bali TPT before the Covid-19 pandemic in February 2020 which was recorded at 1.25%.

In February 2022, the number of working people was 2.55 million people, an increase of 125.77 thousand people compared to the conditions in February 2021. The employment field that experienced the largest percentage increase compared to February 2021 was the Manufacturing Sector (2.76 percentage points). Meanwhile, the sector that experienced the biggest decline was the Transportation and Warehousing Sector (-1.54 percentage point).

A total of 1.5 million people (58.89%) work in informal activities, an increase of 2.82 percentage points compared to February 2021.

Compared to February 2021, the percentage of underemployed increased by 0.89 percentage point, while the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 5.96 percentage point.

There are 405.55 thousand people (11.66%) of the working age population affected by COVID-19 in Bali Province. Consists of unemployment due to COVID-19 (35.81 thousand people), Non-Work Force (BAK) due to COVID-19 (27.57 thousand people), temporarily not working due to COVID-19 (24.30 thousand people), and residents working who experienced a reduction in working hours due to COVID-19 (317.87 thousand people).
