Abstract

The labor force in August 2023 was recorded at 2.69 million people, a decrease of 48.30 thousand people compared to August 2022. In the same period, TPAK increased by 0.22 percentage points to 77.08% in August 2023.

In August 2023, the number of working residents was 2.62 million people, an increase of 10.75 thousand people compared to conditions in August 2022. The employment opportunities that experienced the largest increase were in the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Sector, which increased by 42.92 thousand people. Meanwhile, the sector with the largest decline was the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector, which decreased by 22.85 thousand people.

A total of 1.25 million people (47.65%) worked in formal activities, an increase of 1.08 percentage points compared to August 2022.

Workers in Bali in August 2023 will still be dominated by workers with elementary school education or below with a percentage of 32.07% (839.49 thousand people).

Compared with August 2022, the percentage of underemployed people fell by 1.36 percentage points to 2.57%, while the percentage of part-time workers was 23.54 percent (down 6.13 percentage points).

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for Bali Province in August 2023 was 2.69%, down 2.11 percentage points compared to August 2022. The highest TPT was recorded in Buleleng Regency at 3.60%.
