ASF is defined as a sampling approach technique that uses land area as an enumeration unit. This system is based on geographic information system (GIS) technology, remote sensing, information technology, and statistics which are currently being implemented in Indonesia for the acquisition of agricultural data and information on food crops. The KSA approach is expected to be able to answer the provision of accurate and timely data and information to support the planning of the National Food Security Program.
The implementation of this KSA activity can be realized as a result of collaboration between the Central Statistics Agency, and the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology. The statistical unit (statistical unit) that is the target of activities reaches the sub-district level, while the object of agricultural commodity for food crops is rice.
From the Area Sample Framework Survey (KSA), which was carried out, it produced data on rice productivity in Badung Regency in 2020 of 61.33 quintals/ha, harvested area of 13,629 ha and rice production of 83,587 tons. Complete data can be accessed #SahabatData at the link https://bali.bps.go.id/statictable/2019/10/17/169/wide-panen-production-dan-productivity-padi-menurut-kabupaten-kota-di- province-bali-2018-2020.html
Hopefully this approach technique is useful for food crop statistics in particular and agricultural statistics in general.
