Abstract

EXPORT


After experiencing an increase in July 2020, the value of Bali Province goods exports abroad in August 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -0.55 percent (mtm), from US $ 33,994,467 in July 2020 to US $ 33,807,208 in the month August 2020. When compared to August 2019 (yoy), Bali's export value in August 2020 also recorded a drop of -27.19 percent.


Cumulatively, the export value of goods from Bali Province for the January-August 2020 period was recorded at US $ 293,686,924, down -24.79 percent compared to the same period in 2019 which was recorded at US $ 390,501,006.


Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali, only the value of exports to the United States was recorded to have decreased in August 2020 (m-t-m), namely by -13.25 percent. This decrease was mainly due to lower exports of fish and shrimp products (HS 03).


IMPORT


The import performance of Bali Province in August 2020 showed a decline. The value of imported goods from Bali Province from abroad in August 2020 was recorded at US $ 3,530,390, a decrease of -22.16 percent compared to July 2020 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US $ 4,535,697. On a year-on-year basis, the import value of Bali Province in August 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -85.47 percent.


Cumulatively, the import value in the January-August 2020 period was recorded at US $ 67,520,281, down -60.90 percent compared to the same period in 2019 amounting to US $ 172,692,752.


Of the top 5 countries of origin for imports, only the import value from Australia was recorded to have increased as high as 65.23 percent (m-t-m) which was mainly due to increased imports of stone, gypsum and cement products (HS 68).
