Abstract

EXPORT


The export value of goods from Bali Province abroad in October 2020 was recorded to have increased, namely as high as 5.18 percent (mtm), from US $ 38,465,302 in September 2020 to US $ 40,458,024 in October 2020. When compared with the month October 2019 (yoy), Bali's export value in October 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -31.51 percent.


Cumulatively, the export value of goods from Bali Province for the January-October 2020 period was recorded at US $ 372,610,251, down -24.69 percent compared to the same period in 2019 which was recorded at US $ 494,800,833.


Of the top 5 export destination countries for Bali, the export value to China was recorded to have decreased in October 2020 (m-t-m), which was as deep as -6.96 percent. This decrease was mainly due to lower exports of fish and shrimp products (HS 03).


IMPORT


In contrast to Bali's exports, the import performance of Bali Province in October 2020 showed a decline. The value of Bali Province imports of goods from abroad in October 2020 was recorded at US $ 3,489,288, down -11.56 percent compared to September 2020 (m-t-m) which was recorded at US $ 3,945,173. On a year-on-year basis, the import value of Bali Province in October 2020 was recorded to have decreased by -85.79 percent.


Cumulatively, the import value in the January-October 2020 period was recorded at US $ 74,954,742, down -66.00 percent compared to the same period in 2019 of US $ 220,448,715.


Of the top 5 countries of origin for imports, the import value from Taiwan was recorded to experience the steepest decline, namely by -40.55 percent (m-t-m) which was mainly due to the decline in imports of various chemical products (HS 38).
