Abstract

In September 2022, Singaraja City experienced inflation as high as 0.35 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2018=100) of 113.20. The September 2022 calendar year inflation rate is as high as 4.10 percent. Meanwhile, the year-on-year inflation rate (September 2022 versus September 2021 or YoY) was recorded as high as 6.09 percent

Seven expenditure groups recorded inflation (m to m), namely group VI (transportation) as high as 9.82 percent; group IV (equipment, equipment, and routine household maintenance) as high as 1.05 percent; group VIII (recreation, sports, and culture) as high as 0.75 percent; group X (providing food and beverages/restaurants) as high as 0.33 percent; group II (clothing and footwear) as high as 0.08 percent; group XI (personal care and other services) as high as 0.04 percent; and group VII (information, communication, and financial services) as high as 0.02 percent. One group experienced deflation, namely group I (food, beverages, and tobacco) as deep as 2.10 percent. Meanwhile, three other expenditure groups recorded no change in index or were stagnant, namely group III (housing, water, electricity, and household fuel); group V (health); and group IX (education).

Of the 90 cities observed for national inflation, 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in the City of Bukittinggi (West Sumatra) as high as 1.87 percent, while the deepest deflation was recorded in the City of Manokwari (West Papua) as deep as 0.64 percent. experiencing inflation.
