Abstract

In November 2023, Singaraja City was recorded as experiencing month-to-month (m to m) inflation as high as 0.87 percent with a Consumer Price Index (base year 2018=100) of 118.16. The inflation rate for the November 2023 calendar year is as high as 3.86 percent. Meanwhile, the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2023 to November 2022 or YoY) was recorded as high as 4.47 percent.

Four expenditure groups were recorded as experiencing month-on-month (m to m) inflation, namely group I (food, beverages and tobacco) as high as 2.41 percent; group XI (personal care and other services) as high as 0.48 percent; group X (food and beverage/restaurant provision) as high as 0.21 percent; and group II (clothing and footwear) as high as 0.10 percent. Three groups experienced deflation, namely group IV (equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance) at 0.44 percent; group VI (transportation) as deep as 0.10 percent; and group V (health) as deep as 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, four other expenditure groups were recorded as not experiencing index changes or stagnating, namely group III (housing, water, electricity and household fuel); group VII (information, communication and financial services); VIII (recreation, sports and culture); and group IX (education).

Of the 90 cities monitored for national inflation month to month (m to m), 79 cities were recorded as experiencing inflation and 11 cities were recorded as experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Bandar Lampung City (Lampung) at 1.05 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded in Padangsidimpuan City (North Sumatra) and Palopo City (South Sulawesi) at 0.01 percent each. Meanwhile, the deepest deflation was recorded in Tual City (Maluku) at 0.51 percent, while the shallowest deflation was recorded in Singkawang City (West Kalimantan) at 0.01 percent. If ranked by highest inflation, Singaraja ranks 4th out of 79 cities experiencing inflation
