Financial Intermediary Services have an important role in national development, both as a driver of the community's economy and through the foreign exchange generated. It is the responsibility of BPS to provide detailed and continuous presentation of Financial Institution Statistics. Therefore, data collection activities are routinely and continuously carried out, namely the Financial Institution Survey.

The purpose and objective of this activity is to obtain the characteristics of each business activity in the financial institution sector and to obtain business transactions through financial reports in the form of balance sheets and profit/loss reports for each financial institution activity. The output of Financial Institution Statistics is in the form of Financial Institution Statistics Publication and Savings and Loan Cooperative Statistics Publication.
