Rice Producer Price Survey in Milling (SHPBG)

The purpose and objective of this survey is to obtain changes in rice price data by quality at the mill level. In addition, the survey results are also used as an early indicator of rice prices at the consumer level.

The output of this survey is the annual publication of Rice Producer Price Statistics in Mills. The number of observations of rice prices in mills nationally during 2020 was 12,709 observations consisting of three rice qualities, namely premium, medium, and non-quality. Based on the quality group, observations of rice prices in premium quality mills were 6,384 observations (50.23 percent) followed by medium quality at 4,881 observations (38.41 percent), and out of quality 1,444 observations (11.36 percent).
